CONCERT AT SANDBACH TOWN HALL
Harvey needs no introduction to fans of
acoustic music. With 17 albums to his
credit since he became a full time
musician in 1966 Harvey has appeared
at numerous festivals and has over 50
TV appearances behind him including
specials devoted entirely to his songs.
He has appeared 5 times at the
Cambridge folk festival and at numerous
other international folk festivals and
additionally has hosted Folk on Two for
BBC Radio.
Harvey's concert performances are well
known for the warmth and wit of his
performance and the humour of his
songs which combine great melodies
and witty lyrics that contain Harvey's
perceptions of life's frustrations, loves
and contradictions.
Sandbach Folk Club is delighted to
welcome Harvey and Ulli to perform at
this landmark concert.
Ulli Bögershausen is a guitar wizard with
a truly remarkable craft at his command.
He possesses a gift for making time
stand still. After 20 plus years of
performing and recording Ulli can boast
of scores of glowing concert reviews all
over the world. He is well known in the
far east through his mentoring of Korean
guitar wunderkind Sungha Jung who
plays many of Ulli's compositions and
arrangements.
Ulli is one of the more popular Youtube
guitarists with millions of viewings of his
regularly posted pieces. People are
unable to believe the elegance and
effortlessness of his playing of complex
but highly melodic pieces ranging from
his own compositions to unique
arrangements of pieces such as Hit the
Road Jack' and Time after Time'.
This is a rare opportunity to see Ulli
perform in England.
